Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair

On Saturday I headed to Bristol’s Passenger Shed for a browse around Lou Lou’s vintage fair.

My Mum (who’s just as much of a vintage fan as me) and I have been visiting vintage fairs in Bristol and Bath for over five years, which have been held in several locations across both cities.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with all things vintage, a vintage fair (as the name suggests) is a place where vintage traders can get together in one place to sell their wares to enthusiasts of times-gone-by. It’s a great place to have a wander round and reminisce about the fashions of the past, get nostalgic, as well as discover lots of beautiful trinkets and treasures too.

I have visited several of Lou Lou’s vintage fairs in Bristol before, and have always found them to have the best selection of clothes, shoes and accessories, as well as homewares and other knick-knacks too – there’s something for everyone. Plus the cake they serve in the afternoon tea area is to die for!

As we made our way inside the venue, which is located next to Temple Meads station, I was pleased to see that as usual there were lots of stalls to be found.

Here are some of my favourite things that I spotted during my wander round the fair:

There’s nothing I love more than a vintage handbag!

Leaves, checks, paisley and bright colours – anything goes with vintage clothes!

If you’re new to vintage and want to test the water, a scarf is a great, easy way to add a touch of retro to your look!

I loved these pretty vintage tea sets – almost too nice to use!

How cool are these earrings?

This carrot cake from the vintage cafe was amazing – just what I needed after browsing the stalls for several hours.

I couldn’t resist buying this scarf to add to my collection… well it is on trend after all!

Lou Lou’s run a series of vintage fairs all across the country, and the next one is taking place in Bristol on Saturday 23rd April from 11am to 5pm, again at the Passenger Shed. Entry is just £3, and if you fancy going along for a bit of a browse, I’m sure my Mum and I will see you there!

Have you discovered any cool vintage shops or fairs recently? I’d love to hear about them!
